Dettingen Park Management Company Limited has published its Summer 2011 Newsletter which will be distributed in hard copy to residents early next week, but it is available for download now here:
DPMC Newsletter Summer 2011
If you have any questions or feedback relating to any of the items in the newsletter, please contact itsyourplace who will be happy to discuss this with you.
It has taken over a year to create, but finally our community web site has been launched. Within half an hour of sending out a notification email to Dettingen Park residents, the site has had over 60 hits.
Obviously the main aim of the site is effective communication. We all lead busy lives and don’t have time to attend community meetings so this site is a great way to stay up to date with the latest news on Dettingen Park.
Hopefully in the next 24-48 hours, itsyourplace you will be publishing a news letter which we hope to publish on the site shortly.
One of the most useful features of the site will be the live update feeds which you will notice on the left hand side of the home page. Currently we have a Dettingen Park feed and an Oasis feed with plans to add an itsyourplace feed in the next few days. These are powered by Twitter, but a you can see you do not need twitter to view them. Currently the feeds show the last five updates but if you want to see a full history of updates, you can go to the twitter pages. Again you do not need to be on twitter to view the pages.
If you have any suggestions for the site please do let me know.
As this web site is developing I have installed two live update feeds on the left hand side menu bar as follows:
The idea behind this is simple. It is a fast and easy way to provide updates to residents. So for instance if Lampost 82 has a bulb that has blown, itsyourplace can post this and it will show up in the feed instantly. This process is managed by twitter but you do not have to be registered with twitter to see the feeds on the left or on the feed pages.
Oasis Garden Care is the landscaping contractor who looks after the grounds maintenance on the development. The Oasis guys on the ground will be able to update the feed with information such as areas covered on a given day or issues that they may have identified or resolved.
Of course if you are on twitter you can follow any of the feeds directly through your twitter client.
This is really effective way for the various parties responsible for the management of our wonderful community to keep all residents up to date.
We also have the community email distribution list which you can subscribe to here
